Plévenon

We had our wonderful view for most of the evening, and then an old-school VW camper ignored the no-parking signs and blocked it for a while before leaving.  It really was one of the loveliest spots to wake up in but we have to keep moving - so much to see.

We are in more of a utilitarian site today, chosen for it proximity to the Frehel Cape and Fort la Latte, a 14'th century sandstone castle built on the cliff tops.  Again, we arrived quite early so bagged a corner spot looking out on the lawns and mealie crops.

The lighthouse at Cape Frere

You can actually see the force of the tide coming in, it is amazing.

You can see where the Pink Granite coast (Côte de Granit Rose) get it's name
although technically I think we are on the Côte d' Émeraude here.

We cycled off to the Cape before lunch, had a walk around and cycled back along the coast which was wonderful.

These birds have found the perfect outcrops to raise their young.

This afternoon we took the cycle track less travelled to the Fort; it's a paid site so we didn't go in (forgot to take money on the bikes),  but we were still treated to some lovely views.

We made it back just in time to miss a rain shower.
