Bokkie in her spot

Bokkie has left Brittany in a bit of a huff.  Nothing to do with Brittany though, we've loved living and travelling there.  It has to do with the fact that, after 'hinting' that the quarantine would be lifted on Tuesday the 6th,  the UK government announced today that this would now only happen on Friday.  We must now hold some sort of record for number of amendments on a single channel crossing - and we also need to contact our optometrist and dentist, again,  to move scheduled appointments.  Rant over!

Someone stole our sea!  This was the bay of Mont St Michel when we arrived.

We have decided to use the extra few days to do a quick tour of Normandy; last time we were here we went as far as Arromanche and found it very busy (admittedly is was the 75 year D-Day remembrance at the time) so we cut the trip short, and this will give a chance to explore it further.

Mont St Michel in the distance, we visited it in 2019 here

We took a long walk along the beach in awe of the volume of water that would be needed to refill the bay at high tide, so we planned to return later to have a look.  It was well worth it, this is the difference after just 2 hours.

The sea has returned, complete with an angler and some swimmers.

Even the horses came out for a dip.

We've re-booked our ferry for the 10th and really, really hope we can make this one.
