Brañillin Ski resort

We have been travelling hard, over 800 km in the last four days, and Bokkie is having a rest, unexpectedly, in a ski resort.  We have a rough idea of a route we are taking to Nice but, as we can be flexible, we usually plan two or three possible stops for the day and then see how we go.

We certainly hadn't anticipated being amongst skiers in an Alpine-looking resort at 4,700 feet when we set out this morning but it turned out to be an amazing spot with jaw-dropping scenery around us.

We avoid toll roads where possible and end up travelling on a wide array of roads with some of the most amazing views.  We have added some pictures from the past two days, many taken while on the move so please excuse any reflections or bug marks in the windows.

We left Portugal with very heavy hearts; Spain is great but we have absolutely loved the Portuguese countryside and friendly people.  As South Africans, we have also felt that Portugal has a very similiar countryside and climate to what we're used to - so many places reminded us of familiar landscapes in SA, making us feel quite at home.

Spain, here we come!
