Our routine doesn't make for very interesting blogging at the moment as our days consist of:-
- Drive for the morning, slack-jawed at the amazing scenery
- Find somewhere to stop and walk around the area
- Dodge rain showers when possible and plan for more of the same the next day.
We're still making our way towards Nice but have had a change in plan; instead of crossing over to France at Irun we have decided to stay in Spain a while longer and visit Pamplona before making our way into France.
We'll let the pictures provide the narrative.
Glimpses of snowy peaks through the clouds |
Abnormal load hogging the lanes through a tunnel |
Instead of digging a big hole to quarry for rocks and sand the Basques simply dismantle their mountains. The scale of it was very impressive. |

Vieja castle ruins Can you spot the goat? |
Looks like the wind usually blows here |
Hopefully the rain will start to ease as we move back inland. It is very lush and beautiful here but we miss the sunshine.
