Torremolinos

Thursday 03/01/19

We are in the depths of Spanish tourist territory, Torremolinos.

It's one long beach with a row of restaurants along the promenade, and hundreds of hotels.  It makes me think of Las Vegas for some reason, definitely not our thing but worth a look around.

We passed massive urbanisations around Malaga

The beachfront restaurants have cute boat shaped 'braai pits' for seafood

Hotels Galore

The photo with the sun from behind doesn't do this sand sculpture justice, it was magnificent.

Happy tourists?

We found a wonderful historic house, Casa de los Navajas, which was built in 1925 and has been recently renovated.  It is almost a mini-palace with very decorative features and furniture.

Casa de los Navajas

Stunning entrance staircase

The view from the house - imagine this in 1925!
We vacuumed and cleaned Bokkie as the parking area at Nerja was very dusty and we will try to do laundry tomorrow on the way.  The rest of the day is reserved for cooking and reading.

Lovely fat trees along the boardwalk

We are only about 2 miles from Malaga airport so I have been snapping a different type of bird today.
