Our conversation went something like this, this morning.
(A) Wow, the sunrise is going to stunning again.
(T) Should I photograph it again?
(A) No, I think we have done enough sunrises.
(T) Ok
(A) Come and look at it quickly.
(T) OMG, where is the camera, I'm going out...

We are very privileged to be able to enjoy views like these, everyday is different and I don't think we'll get bored of it any time soon.

As with many of our other sleepy spots we left with heavy hearts, this one had everything.  Right on the beach, short walk to the shopping area, good cycling routes and nearby mountain village to explore.  But, our next location beckoned so we hit the road again.

The landscape became more and more barren and we had read that the approach to Los Escullos was quite grim, with seas of plastic tunnels, and it didn't disappoint.  Because of the extensive tunnel farming and associated labour (and squatter-type) camps the area has quite a dirty look to it.  It is quite a windy area and the plastic isn't always disposed of responsibly which adds to the mess.  We decided not to take many photos of this area.

As we got closer to the coast we left the mess behind and climbed through the mountains, reminding me of driving through Karoo National Park.

We arrived at Camping Los Escullos where we will stay over the Christmas period and booked in.  The most difficult task followed (picking the right spot) and we parked Bokkie up.

It started to fill up so we had arrived just in time.  We spent most of the afternoon cleaning Bokkie from top to toe.  She deserved it as she has looked after us well so far.

We had time to explore the camp which looks very nice and took a walk to the nearest beach, about 25 minutes walk away.

There must be a local pirate connection, this and the castle
in the background needs to be investigated

I need the sun to move for this shot

We have put up our fairly lights and Christmas tree but the photo didn't come out so we'll try again tonight.  There is definitely some more exploring to be done by foot and by bike.

We probably won't blog as regularly until we get on the move again but will update with some photos from time to time.

Can someone let me know if the map I have added works?
